Care
Your piece of jewellery is handmade and unique, and will bear the marks of my love and attention.
Unlike commercially produced jewellery, my small-scale handmade silver jewellery is not rhodium plated. This means that it will not be impervious to tarnish. If you wear it every day, it won't tarnish much, if at all, but if you wear it infrequently, or store it in a humid spot such as a bathroom, then over time it may acquire a film of tarnish. This is easily removed using a silver polishing cloth, and nothing to worry about. Sterling silver is a natural element and like any other elements, reacts to its environment. Well, don't we all?
Cold Finished Pieces
Some of my pieces have to be cold finished, in particular where jump rings are connecting two or more pieces of resin. In this situation, a jump ring cannot be soldered closed as the heat would melt the resin. Instead, I use the "sprung" method of closing my jump rings, which is achieved by overlapping the ends prior to closing the ring in order to create tension in the join. This, coupled with the heavy rings I use, will create a safe and secure coupling which will withstand normal wear. Heavy wear, for example snagging or crushing, or your child or pet swinging on it, *may* result in the ring opening. If so, please email me and I will send instructions on how to re-secure the piece.
Returns
In the unlikely event that a piece develops a fault, I will repair it free of charge, or refund it, as you wish.
If you have an accident with a piece and break it, I can repair it for a small fee. Please note, this does not apply to resin elements. It is not possible to repair these to a satisfactory standard if broken. However I can remake at cost.
The first thing to do in any of the above situations is to email me the details and we can agree next steps.
